It is the first time a Dutch Ladies match will be broadcasted on live television. This match is especially exciting as the Dutch Ladies will be facing Samoa, a team they don’t often compete against. "They play a different game than we are used to, which will make it very exciting to watch," says Julia.
For the Netherlands, this game is crucial as a victory brings them one step closer to qualifying for next year’s World Cup. The team is fighting for one of the two remaining WXV3 tickets.
Julia describes this opportunity as “personally very exciting” as she gets the chance to play on a big stage in Dubai, facing teams from all over the world.
